CHARACTERS
and HANDWRITINGS is one of those truly original
works which widen and enrich its subject immeasurably.
It broke new ground for the science of graphology and
its influence is felt wherever the subject is studied.
This is the first time that a serious effort has been
made to translate Emile Caille's book as a whole. The
British Academy of Graphology, established in 1985,
has taken on its shoulders, through its publishing arm,
Scriptor Books, the burden of bringing classical works
of graphology to an English-speaking public starved
of source books.
This translation, most ably undertaken by Alex Tulloch,
a graduate of the Academy, will allow graphologists
access to seminal works, to study for themselves, without
the intervening gloss of commentators, what Emile Caille
himself had to say on the subject of characterology
in handwriting.
