ADVANCED GRAPHOLOGY
by Renna Nezos

ADVANCED GRAPHOLOGY VOL. 2 is a natural sequel to Graphology Vol. 1. It is a book which has been long awaited, for it contains an enormous amount of information, ranging from basic graphological techniques to the various psychological theories which have been applied to graphology.
Twenty different topics are explained and discussed and relevant writing samples are shown at the end of each one. The book is divided into five parts containing the following subjects:

1. General information. This includes the initial appraisal of the whole writing, and follows through to the Syntheses and Resultants, and the Portrait. Much detailed guidance is given with Tension, Types of Movement, etc.

2. Children's and adolescents' writings are discussed, and diagrams and explanations of the Scales are included. In addition, Vocational Guidance, Personnel Selection and Compatibility are covered.
3. Psychopathology, Clinical Graphology and Problem Writings
(including insincerity and aggression).

4. The Psychobiological Approach is explained, and the four personality types as described by L. Bourdel are reviewed. Graphometry is also discussed.

5. Some of the psychological theories which have been applied to Graphology are explained, eg those of Freud, Adler, Kretschmer and Sheldon, Horney, Fromm and Maslow.

This wonderful book is packed with essential information, and the reader is considerably helped by the presence of accompanying illustrations throughout. This publication should be on the bookshelves of anyone attempting to analyse handwriting.
